I used this card for a 3 day road trip to the US (oh, I miss my Amazon visa, which never gave me a problem). I highly recommend traveling with several cards (don`t count on these alone). Worked well, but had some „drops“ on the road (good thing I got my AMEX). On the third day, everything was rejected! After I got home, I called Home Trust Visa and it was reported that the card was blocked after a PIN code entry error (a new card is being sent). With a limit of 10 transactions per day and the card locking potential, it`s an OK (but unreliable) card. On the bright side, after receiving my explanations, the exchange rates of the VISA Trust House, where about 2.5-3% less than AMEX transactions. I applied on January 23. On February 2, I received an email saying that we only wanted to inform you that we had received your request and that you can expect to hear in the next 3 to 4 weeks. The waiting time should be even worse, as more people are starting to look for a card to replace their Amazon visa.

Both are not exchange cards (only fx on cash amount) BUT there are several drawbacks to the Hometrust card: The more its authorization/get-the-card-to-you Turn-turn-time is significantly less than Home Trust. So now we have two Canadian cards that have no FX conversion fee and no annual fee. HomeTrust Visa and Brim Finance Mastercard. I have both cards, but I just got my Brim MC this week. That`s because Chase left Canada, and those who used the Amazon chase and Marriott cards, for example, to save on foreign transaction fees, are now trying to replace them.
