One of the hallmarks of the supervisory board is its practice of open and reciprocal communication throughout the OATN, in which each entity or any interested party can propose a policy review or best practice in articulation and transfer (see Appendix P, OHIO AND TRANSFERT FLOW COMMUNICATION NETWORK). The purpose of articulation agreements is to enable cooperation for programmatic purposes, including by allowing the portability of students from one university to another. The goal is to advance course planning at the current student university, which maximizes the successful transmission and application of credits to the program chosen by the student at the receiving university. Inter-institutional cooperation, including consortia, for the development of materials and consultative processes is encouraged.
